Three apartments in a West Village (NYC) postwar building were combined in a gut renovation, creating a larger, more open and light-filled space, while maintaining a semi-traditional sensibility of distinct spaces.
The design respects the client’s aesthetics and infuses a simple light modernity in a synchronous blend with traditional elements, the design’s openness maximises the magnificent view and ample sunlight while allowing for both private and public areas.
This large apartment includes a custom-built wine cellar that complements the bespoke kitchen. Particular attention was given to the custom millwork throughout, including the wine cellar, kitchen, office, living room and master bedroom, which were designed to suit the specific needs of the client.
