The interior redesign of this pre-war apartment on Manhattan’s Upper East Side included a reconfiguration of the typical layout. By closing up the corridor, we created a spacious closet facing the master bedroom and a bookcase facing the dining room. This modification to the original layout transformed the apartment into a more functional and aesthetically pleasant living space.

The reconfigured dining room/library, with its custom-designed walnut, lacquer and glass millwork, became the focal point of the home, due to its triple function as a dining room, library and passageway to the bedrooms.

The kitchen, pantry and guest bathroom were extensively renovated using Terrazzo tile flooring, yellow glass tiles and white glacier Corian counter top, lending this area an elegant, modern look.
